Draft Grade — Saints
Overall
B-
ValueC-
NeedA-

FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Saints, and a B- to prove it. The Jack Sawyer selection is the head-turner. The Saints reached 23 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered.
They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick Analysis
Pick9
Rnd1
Jack Sawyer
In pick 9 they get a double-digit-sack hope, though the board says they badly overpaid. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick40
Rnd2
Tyleik Williams
A straight-up fair deal on Tyleik Williams at Round 2, Pick 8, value and slot in agreement. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick71
Rnd3
Elijah Arroyo
They paid sticker price for Elijah Arroyo in the 71st overall pick, and that is fine. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick93
Rnd3
Miles Frazier
Miles Frazier in slot 93 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
