Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall
B
ValueB-
NeedA-
TradesB-
FutureB-
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Ravens: B. Everything else got attention, and interior defensive lineman got none. That is a strange way for the Ravens to leave a draft. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
Savaiinaea at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. If Milum pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
Job largely done: cornerback settled and 2 of 8 of the wish list covered. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick Analysis
Pick27
Rnd1
Wyatt Milum
In the 27th overall pick they get a blindside protector, even if it was a touch early. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick59
Rnd2
Jonah Savaiinaea
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Jonah Savaiinaea in pick 59. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick91
Rnd3
Zy Alexander
They paid sticker price for Zy Alexander in slot 91, and that is fine. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
