There is conviction, and then there is this. The Chiefs took Fa'alili Fa'amoe a full 47 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.

Landing Allen that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. With running back, edge rusher and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on cornerback is the choice that costs them. The running back spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
