You can draft well and still miss the point. The Commanders did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to wide receiver, which was the need that mattered most. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with running back chief among the fixes. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
