The Broncos spent the pick that matters most on Bo Nix, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

Smith-Wade at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. Every board in the league had Elliss lower, and that gap is the story.

They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
