The Colts found their guy under center in Sanders: D-.

You can hear the double-takes from here. The Colts took Shemar Turner at pick 90, roughly 119 spots before his name belonged. The math is unkind, and the D- follows.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. So much rides on Shedeur Sanders that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him.

James at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The veteran additions, Mike Onwenu chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
