Winston Jr. should have been long gone. The 49ers pounced, and earned a B. Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the 49ers were there to profit. Kevin Winston Jr., the No. 97 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 165th overall pick. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.
Oladejo has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
They trusted the board more than the depth chart.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
