Maye is the plan now, and the Commanders grade out a B-.

Start where it matters. The Commanders took Drake Maye to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They are betting McGlothern proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

In pick No. 2 they get their guy under center for the next decade. A clean fit for the roster.
