Draft Grade — Bears
Overall

FutureB
The Bears left with their quarterback, and a D to match. The phones were a trap the Bears kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D is the result.
Everything downstream of Caleb Williams depends on Caleb Williams, and the building knows it. That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
They will need Sinnott to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.
It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
Pick Analysis
Pick1
Rnd1
Caleb Williams
In the 1st overall pick they get the arm they will build around at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick19
Rnd1
Chop Robinson
In Round 1, Pick 19 they get a quarterback's worst nightmare. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick45
Rnd2
T'Vondre Sweat
A market-rate interior defensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on T'Vondre Sweat. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick52
Rnd2
Kingsley Suamataia
Kingsley Suamataia at pick 52 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick75
Rnd3
Jaden Hicks
They paid sticker price for Jaden Hicks in the Round 3 slot, and that is fine. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick77
Rnd3
Michael Hall Jr.
A straight-up fair deal on Michael Hall Jr. at No. 77, value and slot in agreement. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick122
Rnd4
Ben Sinnott
Ben Sinnott in the 122nd pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick190
Rnd6
Tahj Washington
Tahj Washington in pick No. 190 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick239
Rnd7
Andrew Raym
Andrew Raym at Round 7, Pick 19 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The roster fit checks out.
