Draft Grade — Bengals
Overall

FutureF
The Bengals answered their biggest question with Williams. Grade: F. The trade table was where it all came apart. The Bengals shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.
The whole projection now runs through Caleb Williams; hit there and everything else looks smarter. They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Lassiter pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.
Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.
About as rough as a weekend gets on paper, with tight end still staring back at them.
Pick Analysis
Pick1
Rnd1
Caleb Williams
In pick 1 they get a passer to set the clock by. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick14
Rnd1
Jared Verse
In the 14th pick they get a disruptor off the edge at fair value. Need was not the driver here.
Pick23
Rnd1
Nate Wiggins
No drama and no debate, Nate Wiggins went about where he belonged in the 23rd overall pick. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick33
Rnd2
Braden Fiske
Braden Fiske at Round 2, Pick 1 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick49
Rnd2
Kamari Lassiter
Kamari Lassiter at No. 49 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
