Draft Grade — Patriots

FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Patriots. Every other box got a look, but edge rusher did not. The Patriots will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
Irving has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They banked enough surplus on Bowers to cover a lot of smaller sins.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick Analysis
Pick14
Rnd1
Brock Bowers
In Round 1, Pick 14 they get a red-zone target to build around, and a steal at that. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick68
Rnd3
Dominick Puni
Dominick Puni in pick No. 68 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It fills a real need, too.
Pick103
Rnd4
Kamren Kinchens
Kamren Kinchens at the 103rd pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the safety. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick110
Rnd4
Bucky Irving
They left a pile of value on the table to take Bucky Irving this early at the Round 4 slot. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
