Larceny in slot 189 lands the Lions a B-, Carter and all.

Call it larceny. Barrett Carter sat on the board until the Round 6 slot, and the Lions did not need to be asked twice. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

The Leigh pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend.

On the needs board they went 7 of 9, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
