The Mason Fairchild selection is the head-turner. The Panthers reached 79 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

Leaving linebacker unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
