A costly weekend of dealing drags the Panthers to a D-.

Nobody else had Ben Sinnott anywhere near the 86th pick. The Panthers did, by 57 spots, and that gap is the whole story. A D- that will need time and luck to look better.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. With quarterback unsolved, spending premium capital on DT-EDGE is the choice that costs them.

The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.
