The phones sank the Panthers this weekend: D.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Panthers reached some 48 spots for Ben Sinnott, and value like that does not grow back. Hard to defend, and the D reflects that.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The Panthers clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before. They banked enough surplus on Wilson to cover a lot of smaller sins.

The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.

In No. 30 they get a weapon on the perimeter. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
