A costly weekend of dealing drags the Panthers to a D-. The Panthers clearly saw something nobody else did in Kris Abrams-Draine, taking him 34 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced.
The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. They will regret leaving linebacker for another day if the season turns on it. The Panthers indulged a want in Sweat while a need in linebacker and quarterback stayed open.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Trice.
It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
