The Panthers got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D-. The Panthers did not so much draft Kris Abrams-Draine as overpay for him, 44 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D- is the result.
They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. The Smith pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at linebacker and quarterback.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through linebacker.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, linebacker very much included.
