After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Bears committed. Jayden Daniels is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. Reaching for Williams left real value on the table behind him. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Getting Muasau where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

It is a haul that will look even better come September.
