The trade table was where it all came apart. The Bears shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. The final tally is a middling C.

They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Williams pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

Hit on Rome Odunze and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.
