Nobody had Clay Webb this high, and it is not close. The Browns reached 36 spots to get him at No. 51. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. Getting Smith where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
