You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Bears did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D-.

Caleb Williams is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. Getting Jacobs where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
