Nothing loud, just a tidy B for the Chiefs.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Chiefs did exactly that with Hayden Hatten in the Round 7 slot. No fireworks, but a solid B.

The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Trotter Jr. pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game. They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
