For all the boxes ticked, the Chiefs skipped the loudest one: quarterback is exactly as bare as it was.

They will need Young to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The Stowers value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
