Nobody dealt better than the Chiefs this weekend: B-.

The Taulia Tagovailoa pick is the one that will follow the Chiefs into the fall. They took him 54 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.

The Tampa pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with interior defensive lineman and linebacker still on the board. Getting Tampa where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.

Pick26 Rnd1 Cooper DeJean

In pick No. 26 they get a lockdown presence outside at fair value. More want than need.

Pick32 Rnd1 Xavier Worthy

In the 32nd overall pick they get a home-run threat at receiver, a steep price for the projection. Exactly the need they had to hit.

Pick64 Rnd2 T.J. Tampa

A surprising call. With interior defensive lineman and linebacker still to address, they spent slot 64 on T.J. Tampa, a cornerback they were not short of.

A tidy little value on Blake Fisher in Round 4, Pick 24, a step better than break-even. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
