Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Raiders answered their biggest question with Moore. Grade: B-.

Start where it matters. The Raiders took Dante Moore to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

They are betting Ponds proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The McNeil-Warren pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Dante Moore
In pick 1 they get the arm they will build around. A real need, handled.
Pick33 Rnd2 Caleb Lomu
No edge and no loss on Caleb Lomu in No. 33; it is a wash and a sensible one. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick65 Rnd3 D'Angelo Ponds
D'Angelo Ponds at the 65th pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick101 Rnd4 Mikail Kamara
They liked Mikail Kamara enough to skip the value, taking him in the 101st overall pick. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick118 Rnd4 Emmanuel McNeil-Warren
Emmanuel McNeil-Warren slipping to pick No. 118 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick136 Rnd4 Kevin Coleman Jr.
Kevin Coleman Jr. in Round 4, Pick 36 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
