Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B+
ValueB NeedB+ TradesC FutureA+
Larceny in Round 6, Pick 4 lands the Raiders a B+, Anderson and all.

For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Raiders walked out of the weekend still thin at edge rusher, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.

They banked enough surplus on Anderson to cover a lot of smaller sins. The veteran additions, Ja'Quan McMillian chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not. A small leak at the table, if not a fatal one.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

Pick Analysis
Pick12 Rnd1 Mansoor Delane
In the 12th pick they get a press-man option on the boundary. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick30 Rnd1 Sonny Styles
In slot 30 they get a coverage-and-run second-level piece at a price that makes it sweeter. More want than need.
Pick36 Rnd2 Chris Brazzell II
Good price on Chris Brazzell II in pick No. 36, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick62 Rnd2 Lee Hunter
Lee Hunter slipping to No. 62 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick102 Rnd4 Sam Hecht
The board had Sam Hecht higher than pick 102, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick117 Rnd4 Deion Burks
Deion Burks at the Round 4 slot is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick134 Rnd4 Cade Klubnik
A reasonable price with a little left over, Cade Klubnik in the Round 4 slot. The roster fit checks out.
Pick174 Rnd5 Aamil Wagner
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Aamil Wagner in the 174th pick. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick180 Rnd6 Taylen Green
By-the-book stuff, Taylen Green at pick No. 180 squarely in line with his ranking. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick183 Rnd6 Aaron Anderson
Steal is underselling it; Aaron Anderson at slot 183 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick219 Rnd7 Thaddeus Dixon
Thaddeus Dixon at pick 219 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the cornerback. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
