Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall A-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesA+ FutureA+
Nobody dealt better than the Seahawks this weekend: A-.

There is reaching, and then there is Jaden Shirden at the 236th overall pick. The Seahawks jumped the board by 59 and dared it to prove them wrong. It holds up to a second look, which is why it earns the A-.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Getting Driskell where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Cooper Beebe and all.

Pick Analysis
Pick78 Rnd3 Cooper Beebe
No edge and no loss on Cooper Beebe in pick 78; it is a wash and a sensible one. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick81 Rnd3 Braden Fiske
They took Braden Fiske at par in pick No. 81, which is nothing to complain about. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick118 Rnd4 Cedric Gray
They went early on Cedric Gray in the 118th overall pick, and the value did not follow. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick151 Rnd5 Kitan Oladapo
They paid up for Kitan Oladapo at Round 5, Pick 15 when waiting would have done the job. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick154 Rnd5 Joe Milton III
A reach on Joe Milton III in slot 154; the board had better options right there. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick194 Rnd6 Gabe Hall
Gabe Hall at No. 194 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The roster fit checks out.
Pick196 Rnd6 Ethan Driskell
They let Ethan Driskell come to them and pounced at the 196th pick. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick236 Rnd7 Jaden Shirden
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Jaden Shirden well ahead of where he belonged. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
