The search is over. The Bears handed the keys to Caleb Williams, and the whole operation now runs on his development. Little to argue with here, and the A- says so.

Marshall Jr. at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The phones were where this weekend was really won.

They will need Jacobs to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The Kyren Williams deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

It is a haul that will look even better come September.
