If confidence were a draft strategy, the Lions would have aced it. Mark Perry at the 208th pick is 27 spots clear of where he belonged. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

Leaving linebacker unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Verse.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
