Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B
ValueA+ NeedB- TradesB- FutureB-
The Packers let Raridon fall and pounced. Final grade: B.

Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Eli Raridon got past him. The Packers do not have to explain a thing at No. 255.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick52 Rnd2 Arvell Reese
You do not let a linebacker like Arvell Reese reach pick 52 and blink. They did not. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick84 Rnd3 Jermod McCoy
Jermod McCoy at slot 84 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick120 Rnd4 Dillon Thieneman
A top-tier safety at a bargain, Dillon Thieneman in Round 4, Pick 20, plain and simple. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick160 Rnd5 Keith Abney II
Somehow Keith Abney II was still sitting there in the 160th pick, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick201 Rnd6 Logan Jones
They barely believed it either: Logan Jones still on the board at the 201st overall pick. The roster fit checks out.
Pick236 Rnd7 Bud Clark
Steal is underselling it; Bud Clark at pick No. 236 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
Pick255 Rnd7 Eli Raridon
Eli Raridon in No. 255 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
