The tape said wait; the Chargers did not. Rasheen Ali went at Round 6, Pick 6, a good 75 picks before the board was ready.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The McLachlan value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The skill positions did well by the weekend.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
