Draft Grade — Titans
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Titans left with their quarterback, and a B- to match.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Titans committed. Shedeur Sanders is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.

The cost of the Oben reach is exactly the players who went right after him. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. That Williams pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Shedeur Sanders
In the Round 1 slot they get a passer to set the clock by, though they paid up to get him. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick35 Rnd2 Jalon Walker
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Jalon Walker at Round 2, Pick 3 is the proof. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick103 Rnd4 Savion Williams
Savion Williams slid further than he should have, and pick No. 103 is lovely value for the wide receiver. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick120 Rnd4 Cobee Bryant
No edge and no loss on Cobee Bryant in slot 120; it is a wash and a sensible one. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick141 Rnd5 Emery Jones Jr.
They paid sticker price for Emery Jones Jr. in the 141st pick, and that is fine. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick167 Rnd5 Andres Borregales
Andres Borregales is a better player than No. 167 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
Pick178 Rnd6 Kalel Mullings
A quiet steal in the 178th overall pick: Kalel Mullings for less than the market said. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick188 Rnd6 RJ Oben
RJ Oben at pick 188 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
