This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Will Echoles, the No. 18 name on the board, stolen at the Round 2 slot. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

If Knapp pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. On the needs board they went 8 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
