Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the 49ers were there to profit. Samson Okunlola, the No. 64 name on the board, should have been long gone before slot 90.

They will need Jackson to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
