Larceny in No. 138 lands the 49ers a B, McClain and all.

Whoever sat across the table from the 49ers should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

On value alone, McClain makes the weekend a net positive. The Saka pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

The 49ers indulged a want in McClain while a need in running back and quarterback stayed open.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
