There is conviction, and then there is this. The Texans took Trajan Jeffcoat a full 61 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. The bottom line is a respectable B.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. McGlothern at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
