The Texans did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-.

The Texans went off the board in a big way for Jordan Jefferson, 60 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

They banked enough surplus on Smith to cover a lot of smaller sins. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

They left with running back solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
