Boards are made to be trusted, and the Texans shredded theirs for Jalen Travis. He came off 53 spots early, and the room will hear about it. No fireworks, but a solid B.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. McMillan at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

Running back was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
