The Texans went off the board in a big way for Sav'ell Smalls, 115 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

That Wheatley pick is the receipt they will wave around later. Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

They left with running back solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
