Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB TradesB FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B for the Packers.

There is conviction, and then there is this. The Packers took Kamran James a full 68 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

However the rest shakes out, Muhammad at that price is a win they earned. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick53 Rnd2 Emmanuel Pregnon
Emmanuel Pregnon at No. 53 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick87 Rnd3 Keionte Scott
They barely believed it either: Keionte Scott still on the board at the 87th pick. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick99 Rnd3 Connor Lew
Steal is underselling it; Connor Lew at the 99th overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick112 Rnd4 Malik Muhammad
Malik Muhammad at the Round 4 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick120 Rnd4 DeMonte Capehart
DeMonte Capehart in Round 4, Pick 20 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It fills a real need, too.
Pick158 Rnd5 Trey Zuhn III
Trey Zuhn III in pick No. 158 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick199 Rnd6 Kamran James
A real head-scratcher, Kamran James in Round 6, Pick 20 is miles ahead of his ranking. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick236 Rnd7 Rueben Owens II
Rueben Owens II at the Round 7 slot is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick254 Rnd7 Tony Rojas
Tony Rojas in the 254th pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick257 Rnd7 Noah Thomas
They went early on Noah Thomas in pick 257, and the value did not follow. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
