Larceny in pick 247 lands the Texans a B, Thomas and all.

You can draft well and still miss the point. The Texans did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to edge rusher, which was the need that mattered most. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

Thomas falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
