Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Bills let Allen fall and pounced. Final grade: B.

The board owed the Bills one, and it paid up: CJ Allen, the No. 33 name on the board, sitting there at No. 60 like a gift left on the doorstep. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

McCullough has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. Linebacker was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

Pick Analysis
Pick26 Rnd1 Chris Brazzell II
In No. 26 they get a go-to option on the outside at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick60 Rnd2 CJ Allen
CJ Allen at Round 2, Pick 28 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick91 Rnd3 Bishop Fitzgerald
They paid a round early for Bishop Fitzgerald in the 91st overall pick, more than the board wanted. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick126 Rnd4 Tim Keenan III
Tim Keenan III in pick 126 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick166 Rnd5 DJ Campbell
DJ Campbell at slot 166 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick220 Rnd7 Dasan McCullough
Dasan McCullough at the 220th pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. Where it fits the depth chart is the real question.
Pick228 Rnd7 PJ Williams
By-the-book stuff, PJ Williams at the Round 7 slot squarely in line with his ranking. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
