It is the swing that defines the weekend: Kalil Alexander in pick 189, a good 30 spots before the room expected him.

That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. That is a running back worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
