Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall
B-
ValueB-

FutureB-
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Eagles: B-. The Eagles torched the value chart for Derrick Moore, taking him 44 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.
They will regret leaving safety for another day if the season turns on it. The Golday pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
They trusted the board more than the depth chart.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick Analysis
Pick23
Rnd1
Makai Lemon
In No. 23 they get a home-run threat at receiver, and a steal at that. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick54
Rnd2
Derrick Moore
A big swing on Derrick Moore at the 54th overall pick, well ahead of any board in the building. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick68
Rnd3
Anthony Lucas
This one needs a full-page explanation: Anthony Lucas in pick No. 68, miles early. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick98
Rnd3
Jake Golday
Somehow Jake Golday was still sitting there in the Round 3 slot, and they pounced on premier edge rusher value. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick122
Rnd4
Xavier Scott
They read the board right and Xavier Scott was the payoff at slot 122. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick137
Rnd4
DeMonte Capehart
DeMonte Capehart in Round 4, Pick 37 lands just on the right side of the ledger. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick151
Rnd5
Tanner Koziol
Tanner Koziol at the 151st overall pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick179
Rnd5
Charles Jagusah
No drama and no debate, Charles Jagusah went about where he belonged in the 179th pick. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick201
Rnd6
Trey Zuhn III
By-the-book stuff, Trey Zuhn III at Round 6, Pick 22 squarely in line with his ranking. It fills a real need, too.
