Draft Grade — Cardinals
Overall
B
ValueB
NeedA-
TradesB-
FutureB-
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Cardinals: B. You can draft well and still miss the point. The Cardinals did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to quarterback, which was the need that mattered most. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.
Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The skill positions did well by the weekend.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick Analysis
Pick4
Rnd1
Marvin Harrison Jr.
In the Round 1 slot they get a home-run threat at receiver. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick27
Rnd1
Jackson Powers-Johnson
In the 27th pick they get protection for the quarterback at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
