Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Bills: B-.

The Bills torched the value chart for Davin Vann, taking him 67 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted.

However the rest shakes out, Hampton at that price is a win they earned. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Linebacker is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Nick Emmanwori
In Round 1, Pick 30 they get a downhill hitter at safety, outstanding value to boot. A real need, handled.
Pick56 Rnd2 Omarion Hampton
Steal is underselling it; Omarion Hampton at slot 56 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick62 Rnd2 Omarr Norman-Lott
They went early on Omarr Norman-Lott in pick 62, and the value did not follow. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick109 Rnd4 Sai'vion Jones
A real head-scratcher, Sai'vion Jones in pick No. 109 is miles ahead of his ranking. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick132 Rnd4 Aeneas Peebles
A conviction pick on Aeneas Peebles at the 132nd overall pick that the board grades a round light. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick169 Rnd5 Quincy Riley
A reach for Quincy Riley in the Round 5 slot; a little patience would have been rewarded. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick170 Rnd5 Dont'e Thornton Jr.
Dont'e Thornton Jr. at the 170th overall pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick173 Rnd5 Chase Lundt
A tidy little value on Chase Lundt in pick No. 173, a step better than break-even. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick177 Rnd6 Jack Kiser
No drama and no debate, Jack Kiser went about where he belonged in pick 177. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick206 Rnd6 Davin Vann
They left a pile of value on the table to take Davin Vann this early at the 206th pick. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
