You could see the war room lean forward. Luke Lachey at Round 7, Pick 16 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Every board in the league had Hook lower, and that gap is the story.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the cornerback spot they never got to.
