Draft Grade — Bills
Overall
B
ValueB+

TradesB-
FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Bills: B. You can hear the double-takes from here. The Bills took Brett Norfleet at pick 230, roughly 29 spots before his name belonged.
Downs at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Spending an early pick on cornerback with interior defensive lineman, edge rusher and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick24
Rnd1
Caleb Downs
In slot 24 they get a downhill hitter at safety at a price that makes it sweeter. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick55
Rnd2
Nyck Harbor
By-the-book stuff, Nyck Harbor at the 55th overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick88
Rnd3
Julian Neal
Julian Neal in pick 88 is fair value, right on his grade. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick123
Rnd4
Domani Jackson
A curious use of Round 4, Pick 23. Interior defensive lineman, edge rusher and other spots needed the pick; a cornerback in Domani Jackson did not.
Pick164
Rnd5
Jacob Rodriguez
No drama and no debate, Jacob Rodriguez went about where he belonged in No. 164. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick221
Rnd7
Trey Zuhn III
They paid up for Trey Zuhn III at the Round 7 slot when waiting would have done the job. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick230
Rnd7
Brett Norfleet
Brett Norfleet in the 230th overall pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A need, and now a little less of one.
