Overall B

Nothing loud, just a tidy B for the Bills.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Bills did exactly that with Barion Brown in the 220th pick. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

The offensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Klare falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. On the needs board they went 4 of 9, with linebacker the one that mattered most.

They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but offensive lineman.

Pick Analysis
Pick21 Rnd1 Jordyn Tyson
The board had Jordyn Tyson higher than Round 1, Pick 21, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick55 Rnd2 Dillon Thieneman
They paid sticker price for Dillon Thieneman in the Round 2 slot, and that is fine. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick86 Rnd3 Max Klare
They read the board right and Max Klare was the payoff at slot 86. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick121 Rnd4 Zachariah Branch
Zachariah Branch at pick 121 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick163 Rnd5 Jacob Rodriguez
Jacob Rodriguez at No. 163 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick220 Rnd7 Barion Brown
A wild overpay on Barion Brown in the 220th overall pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick231 Rnd7 Jordan Castell
Jordan Castell in the 231st pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It fills a real need, too.
