The Panthers did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Lathan Ransom fell into No. 162. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up.

The Micah Parsons pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
